Dirty Doggies Grooming Services is based in central Taumarunui and run by Monique, a certified K9 stylist with years of hands-on experience with dogs and animals.
Her background includes farming, equine training, dog daycare services and SPCA work. That experience shapes a gentle, practical approach that puts your dog’s comfort first.

Includes nail trim, bathing in top quality shampoo & conditioner suited for your dogs skin, blow dry, brush out with a stylised clip to suit owners wishes.

Terms and Conditions:
*CANCELLATIONS, NO SHOWS & LATENESS can leave empty spaces and as a small business, this can be extremely difficult. To cancel or Reschedule an Appointment:
48hrs given: No charge
Cancellation within 48hr of the appointment, will incur a fee
1st appointment: 50% of the booked groom fee
2nd appointment: 100% of the booked groom fee
3rd appointment: The groom will require full payment at the time of booking and will be non refundable.
No shows and lateness where Monique can no longer accept the dog, 20mins or more, will incur the above fees. Fees will need to be paid in full BEFORE the next groom can be scheduled.
This is only necessary to keep this business operating.
*MATTING/KNOTTING
Dogs with matting require more time and care as the coat is very tight and close to the dogs skin, this can damage the skin and have them prone to infections. Monique will only de-matt areas that she believes will not hurt or stress your dog. Severe matting will require shaving, this can cause itchiness, irritation and coldness. Shaving and de-matting will incur an extra fee as it takes extra time and is harsh on the grooming equipment.
*AGGRESSIVE OR DANGEROUS DOGS
Dangerous or Aggressive dogs will incur an extra fee. Please disclose if your dog has any issues with other groomers in the past. Monique has the right to refuse a dog at anytime if it becomes to dangerous or stressed, one bad bite could end her grooming. the client will still be charged for the booked grooming appointment.
*ACCIDENTS
Although accidents are rare, there is a risk when grooming/handling dogs. Although Monique is very careful in all situations, grooming equipment is sharp and possible accidents can occur (including but not limited to): cuts, nicks, scratches or quickening of the nails. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified immediately.
*OWNERS MUST NOT BE PRESENT
Due to the safety of your dog, Monique and yourself, owners are not permitted to be present during grooming.
*PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
Dirty Doggies Grooming Services reserve the rights to use any photograph and/or video taken during the dogs grooming appointment, on social media, website and marketing without expressed. written permission. A customer can request photographs/videos are withheld from social media, however ID photos will be taken for our internal management.
*LATE PICKUP
Dogs who are not picked up before closing hours will incur a charge of $1 per minute.
